HP enters the market of UMPCs: the first information about Compaq 2133
HP Company in the near future is going to renew its line of mobile devices, which was reported by the resource Engadget. The new device will be a competitive to the budget laptop ASUS Eee PC.

Rumors about the development of UMPC entered the Internet from the company’s “hall”, which could mean preparing for an advertising company of a new product, a formal presentation which should take place in late spring of this year.

The novelty called HP Compaq 2133 and will be equipped with 8.9-inch screen 1366×766 (WXGA), a slot for ExpressCard/54, Wi-Fi module, a keyboard big enough (95% of full), built-in web-camera and, optionally, the drive SSD. As an operating system for Compaq 2133 can be used Windows Vista or Linux, high resolution screen fully solves one of the major concerns of many laptop computers. At the moment the company’s engineers try to increase the work-time of the device, which is the weakest element in UMPCs.
